Multiple Electronics Cluster

APMEC – A special purpose vehicle for growth. The Multiple Electronics Cluster (MEC) Trust, along with the government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP), has proposed to form a Special Purpose Vehicle called the Andhra Pradesh Multiple Electronics Cluster (APMEC).

The GoAP will be a strategic stakeholder in the project. The companies that set up their facilities at the APMEC will be both early and growth stage companies. Startups will be encouraged through attractive support schemes. Currently, around 50 companies have expressed their interest to relocate to APMEC at Gudipalli. The infrastructure is expected to take between 18 and 24 monthsdevelop, and companies can start to move in by mid-2017. While the infrastructure gets developed, to the GoAP has offered a temporary facility for companies that are looking for immediate relocation.
