Spring Conference – FinTech (9th & 10th Mar 2017 @ Vizag)

The two-day Fintech Spring Conference in the run up to the Global Summit includes panel discussions related to scope in the field of financial technologies and competition among the startups having best solutions for problems being faced in financial world.

Spring Conference was a spectacular success with about 30 international delegations from Japan, Singapore and Switzerland and 300 Indian and international participants attending the event. Global corporations, governments and academia, along with thought leaders, entrepreneurs, artists and visionaries have come together in this valley to build capacity, infrastructure, market access, connectivity, funding channels, and incentive mechanisms nurturing a ‘fintectonic’ culture that disrupts traditional models of business and sets a platform for innovation and growth. Prize money of INR 5 Lakh and one year free office space was provided in the Fintech Tower in Vizag to Start-up challenge winners.

In order to have collaboration to develop the Fintech ecosystem, the state government signed a partnership agreement with Lattice80, Pearson, Anthill Ventures, HackerEarth, F6S, Forum Synergies, Hyderabad Angels, Zone Startups, ParadigmIT and Trade Land Finance Tech Consortium (TLF).

ITServe Companies Inauguration – 17th Feb 2017 (17th Feb, 2017 – Vijayawada):

Hon’ble Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu interacted with CEOs and top executives of 50 global companies, and signed Memorandum of Understanding with four FinTech (Financial Technology) companies for collaboration with local educational institutions to prepare curriculum.

On the same day, he inaugurated the FinTech Tower in IT SEZ at the sea-facing Rushikonda. The FinTech Tower in the city has a built-up space of one-lakh sft. Chief FinTech Officer of Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Sopnendu Mohanty has attended the inaugural. The startups that have been allotted space include Paytm, which will create jobs for 200 people, and Block Trust, GMS Solutions, Knolskape, and Transaction Analysts – each providing 15 to 20 jobs.

The MoUs with educational institutions envisage revision in syllabus to create industry-ready graduates for the FinTech sector. The government is contemplating developing an iconic space in the city such as Lalttice80, a FinTech hub created by Marvelstone Group.

FinTech Festival(18th Nov 2016 @ Singapore)

Andhra Pradesh Govt Representation at Singapore Fintech Festival:

The central bank of Singapore and Andhra Pradesh (a South Indian province) announced their intention to join together and promote financial technology innovation. To cement the deal, an agreement called the “Fintech Cooperation Agreement” was signed binding the two states.

In another global move to embrace Bitcoin, India and Singapore are the next big players entering the field. On Saturday, the central bank of Singapore (Monetary Authority of Singapore) and Andhra Pradesh (a South Indian province) announced their intention to join together and promote financial technology innovation, focusing specifically on blockchain and digital transactions. To cement the deal, an agreement called the “Fintech Cooperation Agreement” was signed binding the two states.

Vuda IT Building Inauguration (20th Oct, 2016 @ Vizag)

Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated 8 IT Companies in Vuda IT building, Seethammadhara. The office spaces were secured for 50% OFF on the rental along with incentives for each employee hired. In addition to starting their operations, members of ITServe Alliance will start a training Centre to impart necessary skills to engineering students of AP. Hon. Chief Minister of AP, Shri Chandrababu Naidu along with the Hon. Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, and Hon. Member of Parliament Khambampati Haribabu from Visakhapatnam, other political representatives and the representatives of the ITServe Alliance companies, inaugurated offices of the ITServe companies in a ceremony organized on 20th October, 2016 at VUDA Complex, Seethammadhara, Visakhapatnam.

Digital Transformation Summit- ETCIO (6th Oct, 2016 @ Vizag)

“Digital Disruption and Innovation summit: Navigating the NextGen Revolution,” was attended by around 250 IT professionals and CXOs across industries.

CEO Round Table (2nd Sept, 2016 @ New Delhi)

The CEO Round Table brings together leading business minds from the IT industry to discuss IoT in E-Governance and how it can be leveraged to trigger the revolution in India. The Round Table will also focus on Andhra Pradesh’s innovative initiatives and explore opportunities to partner with the state, and therefore, propel Andhra Pradesh on a socio-economic growth trajectory.

IoT Expo and Workshop (23rd August, 2016 @ Vijayawada)

The event is organized to help the citizens understand IoT better with increased focus on e-Governance and improving efficiency. Sessions on Internet of Things were delivered by Subject Matter Experts. Students from various colleges across the state of Andhra Pradesh have participated in the workshop. Competitions were held for most innovative IT ideas among students and companies distinctively.  Also, there was a discussion on the Topic “Is IoT the next big change in driving e-Governance?”

SAP signs MOU with AP Govt. (7th July 2016 @ Vizag):

The Andhra Pradesh Government and Global software solutions company SAP have signed a MoU to set up a start-up accelerator in vizag.
